United States swimmer Fran Crippen died while participating in a 10-kilometer race. The race was held in open water with a temperature of 84 degrees. Did the hot water cause his death, and should it be allowed?

Some of the other atheletes complained about the water's temperature. This obviously means that the hot water played a huge role in the death. I think tests should be done to find how the body reacts to hot water when under intense exertion.
