Obama blog

In his interview with 60 minutes, President Obama talked a lot about his first two years in office. He eblaborates on his successes and failures, and pointed out things he is doing to improve his office. A key focus in the discussion was the conflicting views of the Republicans.

I think Obama recieved the criticism well. He understood that he has made some mistakes, but has a plan to move forward. He wants to converse with his political opponents to compromise and key issues. I think he is doing well in hard economic times that are not his fault, but are often blamed on him.

  1. I agree with Jacob. Obama has done an exceptional job of accepting the criticism and holding himself responsible for the still troubling economy. As President, he receives much of the blame even though most of the problems lie in Congress. Now, Republicans control the majority in the House, and Obama has recognized that it will be tough to get things done. However, he has showed that he is willing to compromise with the Republicans to continue to move things forward.

  2. I pretty much agree with Jacob. I think that, with what he's had, he's done a pretty good job. These are hard times and he's done the best he could. However, I also think that he needs to take more of the blame. He said he took responsibility but then he would say things that relayed the blame to someone else. He needs to take the blame and then try to compromise with the Republicans again.
